All of LOAF’s members share a love of our roots, our home, our islands – St. Kitts and Nevis. We pitched marble in our backyards, climbed mango trees, traipsed to the market on Saturday mornings with our parents for fresh produce, vegetables and fruits. We also received a rich and formidable education that laid the foundation for great scholastic achievement later on.

Jacqui, an architect who now lives in New York, headed up a youth organization in St. Kitts that nurtured the development of our young people before moving to the City of New York. Tau, a professor by day in New York, and a professional photographer year round, whose photographs often capture the richness of our heritage. Nyoka, an architect whose heritage in St. Kitts is lovingly informed by her father’s trade unionism. Lester, an artist extraordinaire who is involved in artistic productions and development nationwide and, Eustace, our resident diplomat, born in Nevis whose involvement in the cultural development of the Federation is second to none.

I grew up on Central Street in McKnight, a small community in the capital of Basseterre on the island of St. Kitts, and am a passionate civil litigation attorney in New York. Everything that I do is in honor of my late mother, Daisy, whose nurturing has made me into the woman that I am today. I am equally as passionate about the development of our young people in St. Kitts and Nevis.

LOAF was created for those of us living abroad to be reminded of our roots, to celebrate our heritage, and to introduce the world to the richness of our culture and in so doing, LOAF will work assiduously toward the development of the young people of St. Kitts and Nevis through the funding of educational scholarships. We hope you join us on our journey….
